Purpose
This symbol was designed with the intent of fostering the"Spirit of
Hospitality", as a movement of Nara prefecture's citizens, and furthering the growth of Nara Prefecture, in accordance with the principle
of the character motif "心" meaning "Heart" in Japanese. This symbol was selected from suggestions
gathered from around Japan.
Catch-phrase
Nara makes you smile!
Purpose
Let's widen the circle of the “Spirit of Hospitality” so that smiles can
be brought to those visiting Nara as well as her local inhabitants.
