The Spirit of Hospitality in Nara Prefecture

Voices of Nara's People

Everyone has "Spirit of Hospitality." Put each one's Idea into action!
(Prefecture Citizen)

Prefecture citizenThere are so many things we can do to improve hospitality! I wonder if I have to do something special?

I believe that being hospitable does not involve overly complicated matters. What is important is that guests can be pleased with our service and feel comfortable. One of the important things is paying attention to small matters. A good example of this is, to hand the menu to guests at a restaurant so that they can read it more easily and to know useful local information about sightseeing in the area.

VolunteerWe are volunteer guides and we would like our guests to enjoy the goodness of our hometown as much as possible. We are delighted when we see our guests happy and delightfully surprised.

Prefecture citizen Well, we just have to extend a sense of caring and consideration to our guests. I think that is true of welcoming and greeting guests with a smile. Be ready to help and show them the way to where they want to go, as well as and picking up litter, not to mention not littering ourselves. Understanding “hospitality”, I think I myself will deal with guests accordingly too.
