1,249m above sea level, Mt. Takami is shaped like a stately pyramid with a steep top, from which wonderful views can be enjoyed.
Throughout the seasons, the mountain wears different appearances. In the winter, in particular, many tourists climb the mountain to take pictures of frost and trees covered with ice.
This is the place where the last Japanese wolf was caught, and a bronze statue was erected here in commemoration.
